Mary Mires is a professional in the field of recreation, receiving B.A. degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Salisbury State University with in 1994. Starting out as a participant in the Summer Playgrounds program operated by M-NCPPC in Prince George’s County, and having had such a positive summer day camp experience, Mary sought her first job as a Playground Leader for the very same program!

Recreation is at the foundation of Mary's life and she has administered highly successful recreation, sports, and summer day camp programs in both Prince George’s (M-NCPPC) and Anne Arundel County. As a mother of two active middle-school daughters, free time is at a premium. Whenever possible, Mary enjoys an occasional game of golf and continues to play slow pitch softball whenever she can squeeze it in!

Mary has been with the University Of Maryland Department Of Campus Recreation Services for three years and has been the Director of TERP Quest Summer Day Camp since its inception.
