When does registration close? Toggle Accordion

Registration closes June 12 or when an individual camp week (session) fills. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for a specific week, please contact terpquest@umd.edu.

Do I need to be faculty/staff/or a member of the gym (RecWell member) to register my child? Toggle Accordion

No. Participation in Terp Quest Summer Day Camp is open to everyone. You will need to create a free user account to register your child. 

Do I have to register and pay for all sessions at one time? Toggle Accordion

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. All registrations need to be paid in full at the time of registration. You may register online using a credit card or in person at the Eppley Recreation Center using cash, check or credit card. 

Do you have any payment plan or scholarships? Toggle Accordion

We do not have camp scholarships but special payment arrangements can be made if a financial hardship exists. Please contact terpquest@umd.edu directly to arrange a personal payment schedule.

Do I get a discount if my child can't come every day? Toggle Accordion
Your camper isn’t likely to want to miss even a minute of Terp Quest, and we hope they don’t! Time missed from camp will not result in a discount. 
 
Do you accept payment vouchers from state and federal government agencies? Toggle Accordion

We are happy to work with State and Federal Government agencies, if they are able to provide documentation for guarantee of payment.

What do I do if my child will be absent from camp? Toggle Accordion
If your camper is unable to attend camp on a given day for any reason, please call (301) 226-5500 between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. to send a message to the Terp Quest staff. An e-mail can also be sent to terpquest@umd.eduRefunds are not given for missed days.
Do I have to drop off my camper at the scheduled start time or can I bring him/her anytime? Toggle Accordion

Please bring your child to camp on time, so they don’t miss out on a minute of fun! If your child will be arriving late to camp, please make special arrangements by contacting us at terpquest@umd.edu.

By what date do I need to finish my child’s online information? What if I forget? Toggle Accordion

Your camper’s online profile should be completed no later than May 31 Incomplete documentation may result in your camper being unable to attend until everything has been completed. We will provide reminders to help ensure this doesn’t happen.

Can I get a list of other participants to check for carpool options? Toggle Accordion

We are happy to share your contact information with other families, but are unable to release personal information to others without consent 

Can I accompany my child to camp or stop by to visit them? Toggle Accordion

We ask that parents not join their child at camp or drop by unannounced. This will allow your child to interact with their peers in a safe and fun environment. 

What if my child didn’t get his camp t-shirt on Tuesday? Toggle Accordion

T-Shirts are typically distributed on Tuesday afternoons. If your child does not receive a t-shirt, please contact us right away at terpquest@umd.edu  Campers registered for more than one week will receive only one shirt which is to be worn on Wednesdays.

Can I make suggestions about the day camp programming? Toggle Accordion
Yes, we are always looking for new ideas! We have received many wonderful suggestions that have been implemented in our programming, but please know that we may not be able to accommodate your request. Suggestions can be sent to terpquest@umd.edu.
 
Does Terp Quest accept participants with special needs? Toggle Accordion

If your child has special needs, please contact terpquest@umd.edu or 301-226-4409 to discuss them.  Terp Quest will work to accommodate participants with special needs as much as possible. 

Can my child bring a cell phone, electronic game, or toys with them to camp? Toggle Accordion

Terp Quest does not allow electronic devices of any kind while at camp. Any camper found with one must surrender it to camp staff immediately. Terp Quest will keep banned items under lock and key for the camp day and a parent/guardian will be notified immediately. All confiscated items will be returned to the parent/guardian at camper departure.

Campers should not bring toys, trading cards or games to camp. Terp Quest is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Campers are permitted to bring a book to read during down times: before care, lunch time, end of day pick-up and after care.

What do I do if I need to pick up my child early from camp ? Toggle Accordion

If your child needs to be picked up early, please send an e-mail can also be sent to terpquest@umd.edu.
